Ready to take your pottery skills further? This intermediate course is designed for potters who are comfortable centering clay and throwing cylinders and want to expand their techniques, creativity, and independence in the studio.
Students will refine their throwing skills while exploring more complex forms and new ceramic techniques.

- Throwing taller vessels, bottles, and larger bowls
- Creating teapots and multi-component forms
- Working with larger amounts of clay
- Assembling and attaching multiple parts
- Introduction to slab building, coil building, and clay extrusion

After a quick introduction and studio tour, students begin working with clay right away. Each class introduces new tools, techniques, and forms, helping you push beyond basic throwing and expand your artistic practice.
Students are encouraged to use open studio time to develop and complete their own projects throughout the course.
